Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an age-graded, Bible-centered activity conducted during vacation time. At St. Luke Vacation Bible School includes preschool, children, youth and adult activity. It is a significant part of the church’s Bible teaching program. The prepared curriculum is five sessions, with study lasting two hours each.
The purposes of Vacation Bible School correspond closely to those of the Bible study ministry of the church.
The teaching efforts focus on the following:
• Reaching and involving persons
• Teaching the Bible
• Worshipping
• Developing skills in Christian living
• Learning about missions
Vacation Bible School is a vital part of the church’s educational program. Offerings taken during the school time are donated to a mission project or program.
